CREATING COMMUNITY
Regent Park United Church

The small congregation of Regent Park United Church still continues to meet and be the spiritual centre of CRC.

In the early 1980’s, it was agreed that CRC would provide support for the Regent Park United Church congregation (which had been dormant for about a year). Various staff have led Sunday services over the years. The Common Lectionary is the core of the service and is informal in its set-up in encouraging input from all who attend – to be as welcoming as possible.

Currently, with no formal worship space to gather in while we re-build, we meet on Thursdays at noon in temporary quarters. All are welcome to attend the service and the lively discussions that follow.

Our new building at 40 Oaks will have a new beautiful worship space in the round that will feature green plants and natural lighting. This will greatly enhance an already meaningful and lively weekly worshipping community.

The CRC also continues to closely support the West Don Area Ministry project of the United Church that is exploring how the church can be present in the newly burgeoning neighbourhoods west of the river.
